Who is The Image GuildNone of us started here. But even though our paths came from different places, photography drew us in with a call to adventure and opportunity to express no matter where the trail may lead. Be it the dirt roads beneath our feet. The night skies above. And everything in between. It not just about capturing it. It’s about truly being captivated by it. That’s what converged us here at Image Guild. We’re building a community to have a different type of relationship to photography. One that places skill growth, and most importantly the spirit of adventure, over social gains. So, please don’t call us a photography company. We go away beyond the what you see through the lens. What about severe weather? At the risk of stating the obvious, keeping you alive is our number one priority. As much as we wish we had the powers of a weather wizard, we haven't quite cracked the code on controlling the elements (unless you know something we don't?). In the meantime, we'll be doing our best to dodge any pesky storms and tweak our plans accordingly. But hey, we're adaptable! We'll work around whatever Mother Nature throws our way like a boss.
-
What is the payment policy?A minimum deposit must be made to reserve your spot. Full payment is due 60 days prior to start of workshop, otherwise risk forfeiture of 100% of your deposit and making your space available to another individual.

Do You Have Proper Permits & Insurance? We are too legit to quit, we've got all the permission slips for every National Park, State Park, or BLM we step foot on. Just know we've got the paperwork to prove we belong, plus some fancy insurance that covers our hineys. And if that's not enough to impress you, our guides are certified in CPR & Wilderness First Aid (we even have a Wilderness First Responder on our team), and they carry emergency satellite phones to summon help faster than a speeding bullet. - they're basically like walking safety nets. We're all about making sure your adventure is smooth sailing, and that means leaving nothing to chance. Safety is our jam, and we go all out to make sure your photograph workshop rocks your socks off without any worries or nasty surprises.

How do I level up my photography skills?Ah, young adventurer! The key to leveling up your photography skills is to go on epic quests (our photography workshops) and defeat challenging bosses! Just kidding (or am I?)... Explore new environments, experiment with different settings and techniques, and don't be afraid to fail - for it is through failure that we learn and grow stronger. Seek out the guidance of wise mentors and fellow adventurers in our online workshops, on our blog or through our forum, and don't forget to equip yourself with the right gear. With dedication, perseverance, and a bit of luck, you will rise through the ranks of the photography world and become a true legend. And don't worry, we promise there are no beasts to slay, unless you count those pesky red-light monsters. 🤺

What camera gear do I need?Picture this: you're signing up for one of our landscape photography workshops, and you're wondering what gear to bring. Well, at the very least, we suggest a DSLR camera with a wide angle lens and a sturdy tripod that could make a giraffe jealous. We're not saying you won't be able to take great shots without these things, so don't worry if you're not packing a wide angle lens yet, it's not mandatory - but highly recommended for maximum scenic effect. We'll shoot you a detailed gear list once you're signed up. But hey, we get it, you might have some burning questions about what to bring. If that's the case, just drop us a message - we're more than happy to give you the lowdown on all things gear.

Can Non-Photographers Come on a Photography Workshop?Come one, come all! We thrive on the company of fellow enthusiasts who share our passion for unforgettable experiences. What does the itinerary look like for my workshop?Upon signing up, you will receive a link with a more in depth itinerary with locations, gear and expected weather to help ensure you have everything needed for your upcoming workshop.
-
Do I have to lodge at the chosen accommodations? No, but you are responsible for any other accommodations and those would not be included in the workshop price.
-
What makes you different?Guiding you to the best locations, in the best conditions and light, with hands-on photography instruction is only part of what we offer. We want to build a community that’s endlessly seeking, collaborating and transforming your relationship to photography. Where we experience these wild places together, inspiring us all to create and share. And isn’t that the best part? Getting to pass that adventure bug down isn’t just a reward, its a responsibility. That’s when true learning and growing happens. Sure a cool picture says a lot. But a collective passion sparks a lifetime.
